Sambhaji nagar), He is Hon. Secretary of Kartavya Charitable Trust where conducting eyecamps to serve Vision Care, He has a expertise in Contact Lenses , Low Vision, Binocular Vision Assessment and Therapy also Dispensing Optics.

Asitkumar Jadhav, is secretary at Maha Optometry Association. He completed his Baccalaureate in Optometry from Lotus College of Optometry in 2009. With over 14 years of experience in various disciplines of Optometry, Asitkumar has worked in Clinical, retail optician, and Tele-Ophthalmology projects experienced in Comprehensive eye check-up, Spectacle Dispensing, Contact lens, Retina Screener and grader respectively. He is currently a Programme Officer at Mission for Vision in Mumbai, where he provides technical support to various public eye health projects and handles documentation/representation. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Eye Health Hero title in 2020 under the “Changemakers” category by The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).

She is Medical Faculty (MBBS in First Class Hons.) from Topiwala National Medical College, university of Mumbai, BSc Optometry (First Class Hons.) from City University, London, Member & Fellow of International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE), Australia, Fellowship of British Contact Lens Association ( BCLA), Member of Pune , Maharashtra and All India Ophthalmological Association, Currently working as primary eye care practitioner treating various ocular conditions medically and contact lens specialist fitting variety of soft, spherical , toric , multifocal and prosthetic soft lenses, RGP , corneoscleral , mini scleral and reverse geometry RGP lenses, Dr Meena has proficiency in fitting specialty scleral contact lenses in keratoconus patients , post LASIK ectasia, post keratoplasty patients and various adverse corneo-conjunctival conditions etc., Dr Meena is a Emerald certified orthokeratologist, trained to fit reverse geometry contact lenses for myopia control in children. These special RGP lenses can also be fitted to adult patients or in sportsmen who do not wish to wear spectacles or contact lenses during the day, Dr Meena is also trained to handle cases of binocular vision problems and offers low vision aids to suitable patients.

Chandrashekhar Chawan completed his PhD. in physics from University of Mumbai, enrolled himself for Diploma in Optometry from Municipal Eye Hospital, Mumbai. Worked as a Professor of Physics at Bhavan College Chowpati, Mumbai for one year. While working in Bombay Hospital as a Chief Optometrist and Contact Lens Specialist for nine years, he completed a hobby course in Sculpture and Modeling at Sir J. J. School of arts, Mumbai. In 1996 he underwent training in Ocular Prosthesis at Moorefields Eye Hospital in London. In 1999 he developed worlds first Soft Hydrogel Ocular Prosthesis, that made him famous in American Society of Ocularist and got him a job in the USA. While in USA he completed his PhD in Optometric Sciences in 2001. He was the first fellow of Johnson & Johnson Gift of Sight International Fellowship program at the Boston Foundation For Sight, USA in 2003. In response to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s appeal to NRI’s and request of Dr Badrinath and Dr Gangadhara Sundar of Shankara Nethralaya and Dr Santosh Honavar of L V Prasad Eye Institute, he came back to India and trained persons to be an Ocularist and set up the laboratory for Ocularist Services. Till now he has trained and helped to set up Ocular Prosthesis units at several institutes like, Shankara Nethralaya, Chennai, L V Prasad Eye Institute Hyderabad, Sri Shankar Deva Nethralaya, Guwahati, Vittala Eye Hospital & Narayana Nethralaya Bangalore, Venu Eye Institute Delhi, Arvind Eye Institute Madurai, MGM Hospital Raipur, National University Hospital, Singapore and Price Sangokhla Univeristy Hospital Thailand etc. In 2007 he has set up Cornea & Oculoplasty Hospital called Shekhar Eye Research Pvt Ltd in Mumbai where many Cornea & Oculoplasty surgeons are offering their services to needy patients along with custom made Ocular Prosthesis & Scleral Lenses. Special Ocularist & Contact Lens training & fellowship programs are also conducted on individual basis under his supervision. Center is famous for Ocular Surface disorder and Keratoconus treatments. Plastic corneal transplant is performed at this unique center by Dr Quresh Maskati. ......................

Mrs. Jyoti Dave-Singh is a primary eye-care practitioner, having specialized in therapeutic contact lenses for sight restoration, with special interest in pediatrics. She has a working experience of almost thirty years in the field of eye care. Having worked in rural India, her experience to deal with remote schools is considerable. She has developed resource materials for the ‘Training the Trainers’ and ‘Educate the Educator’ programmes.

MCOptom, HONS (UK) is a Consultant Optometrist and Low Vision Specialist practicing both in India and the UK. She is an experienced primary eyecare practitioner who is particularly interested in pediatric Optometry and social work.

Has Independent practice with own optical show room – THE OPTOMETRY CLINIC specializing in clinical optometry, speciality contact lenses, low vision aids & patient counselling. Associated with NETRA RETINA & LASER CENTRE as Senior Optometrist leading a team of optometrists. In past was an Honorary Consultant Optometrist with ROTARY INTERNATIONAL and also as visiting faculty at PVP (SNDT University) for visual optics & dispensing optics. Her past engagements were with BOMBAY CITY EYE INSTITUTE, GUJARAT MEDICAL & RESEARCH INSTITUTE (AHMEDABAD) & HINDUJA HOSPITAL. Was recognised as Outstanding Alumni by PVP and has been actively associated with NGO MAD Foundation in conducting eye camps.
